I performed with my choir, the St. Olaf Chapel Choir, at the annual Vespers concert on October 18, 2009 in Boe Chapel. My family drove up to see me! To view the performance click HERE to get to the concert archives and search for "Vespers" under 2009-10 Semester 1.

Congratulations to all the Miss Minnesota High School contestants! You did a wonderful job! It was great to see how some of these girls have grown through their involvement in pageants (I had seen a good number of them compete before at Miss Minnesota's Outstanding Teen, Miss MN Teen Int'l, etc.). Pageants have so much to offer young women in their confidence, growth and development, ability to speak extemporaneously, and ability to use the authority of the crown to impact change.
I particularly like the Miss MN HS program because it is based around the high school experience. The titleholder must be well rounded, actively involved in her high school, enthusiastic about serving others, and an overall role model amongst her peers. Congratulations to Brittany Link for receiving this wonderful honor! I'm sure you will take full advantage of this life changing opportunity during the next year! My brother Trevor had his Eagle Scout Court of Honors today! I am SO proud of him and his huge accomplishment!
It was an amazing turn out at his Court of Honors. It was held at Dassel Evangelical Covenant Church and the sanctuary was over 75% full with family, friends, church members, and teachers. Our brother Jimmy even flew in from California last minute to attend. Trevor's troop leaders "emceed" the ceremony. Our uncle Senator Steve Dille and cousin Captain Nick Dille (Eagle Scout) spoke about the accomplishment of becoming an Eagle Scout. Our Pastor Keith Carlson also said a few words. Trevor was in charge of the majority of the presentation. He spoke about his experience working toward his goal of becoming an Eagle Scout, played piano, performed the Gettysburg Address, and thanked everyone for being there that day. As usual, everyone's jaw drops when Trevor sits down to play the piano. HE IS AMAZINGLY TALENTED! Finally, Trevor gave our mom and dad special Eagle parent pins to thank them for their endless support, and in turn, he was presented his official Eagle pin and plaque. As soon as he was "officially" announced as an Eagle Scout, he threw his arms up in the air in a big V for Victory! What a ham! I am SO proud of my brother. He has the best work ethic and best sense of humor of anyone I know. Go Trevor! This weekend, I was invited to model at several Glitz Grand Opening fashion shows at Mall of America. I had a blast! Who doesn't love wearing adorable dresses and strutting their stuff on the runway? A percentage of each dress purchased that day went toward Children's Miracle Network and Gillette childre.
