As I mentioned before, I met with Sherrie Kenny, the CEO of the Autism Society of Minnesota, on Tuesday to discuss my role as AuSM's new official spokesperson. I am so excited to use my voice as Miss Minnesota this year to advocate for something I am so passionate about.

On Wednesday morning, I headed to Gillette Children's Hospital for the Firefighter's Carnival fund raiser. For over 50 years, the St. Paul firefighters and other emergency response personnel have hosted this carnival for the children at Gillette. The kids had a blast! They could play games, win prizes, have their picture taken and made into buttons, and get their faces painted! This was my first time at Gillette as Miss Minnesota. I enjoyed meeting the people with whom I will be working as I advocate for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. It is going to be a great year!
