Leo, Jay's Autistic son, LOVES giving people hair styles! (His "special interest" at the moment). Right before I left, I let him do my hair! He was so excited about the bobbi pins I had with me: "You have SOOOO many bobbi clips....SOOOO many..." I've posted some pictures of Leo styling my hair below. I had about 10 bobbi pins lined parallel to each other down the back of my head. It was funny! Leo's MOM is graduated from MY school, St. Olaf! Go Oles! UM YA YA! It's always great to meet a fellow Ole. :)
I was particularly excited about going to this event because when I was 15, before I had even won Miss MN"s Outstanding Teen, I volunteered at the VERY FIRST Capitol Classic. I ran into Jay at my Steps of Hope event in March and he asked me to come. It was great coming back 4 years later and seeing how much it has grown! I hope to come back as a volunteer next year as well!
Thank you to the Dworksy family for hanging out with me all day at the Capitol!
