Last weekend, I was invited to emcee and perform at a children's talent show to raise money for Polar Bears Int'l and local animal shelters in Minnesota. The event was organized by none other than a NINE AND A HALF YEAR OLD GIRL named Michelle Rose Bergh, who had previously raised pennies with lemonade stands (as she let us know in her cute little speech!). The event raised over $3,000-I think that tops lemonade! WCCO news anchor Don Shelby did some opening remarks and handed the mike off to me as the emcee of the night. The child performers were PHENOMENAL! There were singers, dancers, pianists, martial artists, and even a chinese dance group whose flexibility and agility BLEW MY MIND! The You Can Do It titleholders were invited along for their first official appearance. I interviewed Alex Schmitt, the national Ms. You Can Do It titleholder on stage about the Minnesota state program she had started. The Iowa and Minnesota National Miss titleholders were also there helping out with ticket sales and auctions. They took over for me with a live auction as I excused myself to get ready for my performance. I was the last performance of the night. I sang "Unexpected Song" by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The kids really liked the "Cinderella" dress I wore. haha Kids love me more when I am fully in the role of "princess!" It was a blast and I am so glad to have had the opportunity to work on behalf of this worthy cause. A big thank you to Michelle and her mom Donna for including me!

You were fabulous as the emcee and a performer. I'm sure there are lots of polar bears who are a lot happier today because of you.
